Back to School

"Back to school! Back to school... I got my lunch packed up, my boots tied tight, I hope I don't get in a fight! Ohhhh , back to school! Back to school! Back to school! Well, here goes nothing!" While most kiddos are off from school for the summer, my little Brenticus is just beginning.  We have a long, long, long, oh so very long road ahead of us.  Good thing he looks the part.   .... ok , ok so the picture was staged.  Irrelevant.

Sunbeam For a Day

We made it almost a month in a half before we were discovered in our new family ward.  We did not do a good job at all of keeping a low profile.  In keeping with what seems to be an initiation tradition in family wards, Brent and I were asked to substitute for the Sunbeam class.  We were super excited.  Our day went a little something like this... Sharing Time...consisted of several stations for each class/age group to participate in.   Unbeknownst to Brent and I , they  were apparently set up on some sort of planned rotation.   Our 5 little Sunbeams were "seated" at the front of the room coloring at our first introduction.  Coloring, great, how hard can this be.  Child #1 - marker is not authorized to use = tantrum.  This consisted of a seated fetal position, pushing tears, speaking no words (at least English words) and only nodding "no."  Child #2--no signs of distress initially, suddenly wanted her mother and was on the verge of tears.  I know this had to be funn

Project #2--Complete!

I am very pleased to announce the completion of our garage!  It will look even better once we are finished with the wood and the little project I'm doing...then we'll have more space and less clutter.   BEHOLD!....... Before:  After:  A car in the garage; what a strange concept. **I listed this a "Project #2" because I consider the deck to be "Project #1."  It has been underway for going on 3 years...we're getting very close!
